Will has one of the largest wealth of relationships of any single institutional sales professional in the industry, and has taught several workshops on how to develop rapport and attract common ground with people quickly.
The WHR Story:
Will Riedlinger has been a placement agent for the bulk of his career working alongside General Partners to achieve their fundraising goals across a variety of asset classes including private equity, venture capital, private credit, healthcare and music royalties, real estate, and turnaround funds.
Prior to founding WHR Capital, Will was Head of Institutional Sales for Global Founders Capital, the venture capital investment arm of Rocket Internet in which he helped raise one of the largest European venture capital funds prior to the recession of 2020. Prior to Global Founders Capital, Will led and ran the US distribution efforts at MVision Private Equity Advisers. In this capacity, he covered the entirety of the United States and Canada, and secured commitments from every major type of institutional investor--public pensions, private pensions, university endowments, foundations, fund of funds, and gatekeepers.
While most placement agents are siloed into specified regions, Will has covered the entire United States & Canada throughout his career, and has taught several workshops on how to develop rapport and attract common ground with people quickly. Unlike most placement agents, who have a transactional personality and approach to fundraising, Will strives to develop a rapport with investors that transcends both personal and professional lines with investors. This allows for the ability to escalate through an investors process for both speed and execution much more rapidly than other competitors.
Early in his career, Will worked alongside legendary Wall Street salesman Marty Shafiroff at Barclays Wealth. Marty was instrumental to cultivating and developing the future success in Will's career.
Will grew up on 13 acres in the small town of Ridgefield, Washington playing a variety of sports, ultimately playing college baseball in California. Will earned a Bachelors of Science from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley.
